I added "Integrated Security=True" to the connection string in the "web.config" to allow use with Windows Only authtication on my DB instance. I also had to enable the timer jobs for Event Logs and Trace Logs (Central Admin -> Monitoring -> Review Job Definitions -> Diagnostic Data Providers) to create and populate the DB views used by SPFLogger.
